The Teaching Course Returns to the Land Down Under!


The response to #TTCAus16 was so tremendous that we had no choice but to return for 2017. If you were there last year or have been to one of our courses in the past, you know to expect a whirlwind of meducational goodness not seen at any other conference within the world of medicine. But this year’s course is like nothing you’ve ever seen. We’ve again recruited an all-star cast of world-renowned educators, but this year we’re adding two optional preconferences before the main course begins: the incredible PCubed presentation workshop led by our friend, Ross Fisher. Here’s the really cool thing about the course (Sept 1-3) this year…it’s a mixed blend of 1/2 day, independent courses: The Learning Course, The Social Media & Med Ed Course, The Sim Course, and ZenMed, our new health and wellness initiative. All of this packed into 3 days!!


Soon to be its own independent course, we’re bringing The Learning Course (TLC) to #TTCAus17. A first in medical education, TLC will show you how to use cutting-edge learning principles and theories to most effectively learn any new topic of your choosing. If you’re an educator, you’re a learner, and if you’re attending #TTCAus17, you’ll want to be at The Learning Course.

The Sim Course is one of our latest creations, and you are in for a treat! This year we have lined up some of the best sim educators in the world: Jesse Spurr, Victoria Brazil, and Ian Summers, just to name a few. The Sim Course explores how to use simulation in medical education and how to ultimately get good results at the bedside. Be prepared to be dazzled.



Trying to use all of that #FOAMed goodness to your advantage but work in a traditional academic setting? We’ve got you covered with SoMe2 – Social Media and Medical Education. With SoMe2, you’ll learn how to use social media and #FOAMed effectively within an academic setting, both in terms of incorporating content into curriculum design and in how to best use your social media presence and contributions to advance your career. And if you’re one of those folks who works in an academic environment and has to work in a system that doesn’t understand social media and how to use it for promotion, we’ll teach you how to get advanced in your academic career.



And no matter what role you play in the healthcare setting, we know that you’re impacted by stress, burnout, and mental illness in one way or another. This has been an issue for years, but now it’s time to stand up and recognize how it affects us, our colleagues, and our families. If wellness is important to you – and it should be – you’ll want to be there for ZenMed.
